AaaAAAAHHH I probably should have done this like a week ago, but since almost every one of my RP buddies is on hiatus right now for academic or personal reasons, I’m going to go ahead and officially go on hiatus too. 

In the meantime I’m going to I finish up some other obligations (I’ve got art to deliver and medical necessities to sort out) and work on some fresh material (I’ve been feeling a little stale lately– gotta broaden my horizons and also get back in touch with own private middle earth). 

 I’ll still be on my art blog and main blog, but if I do like a livestream or something pertinent to this fandom I’ll post the links here. :3

  • frodo – history major and only person who believes professor bilbo’s stories about the 60’s.
  • samwise – landscaping major, will be the best gardener in the world. frodo’s roommate. the one who does the laundry.
  • merry & pippin – idk partying
  • legolas – environmental studies. we must save the trees, etc. forced to room with gimli freshman year, whose beard is disgusting.
  • gimli – geology major. thinks hygiene is “gay”. keeps bringing home rocks to show legolas, who doesn’t care.
  • boromir – polysci major constantly stressed and tempted to cheat on all his exams
  • aragorn – has been living in the shadows for years, afraid to step forth and claim his degree. it is time. become who you were born to be. earn that last credit and fucking graduate.
  • elrond – scary pre-med professor. eyebrows.
  • arwen do not drop out of your phd program to marry that greasy undergrad
  • eowyn – women’s studies. rumor has it she killed a guy.
  • denethor – the weird old philosophy dept head who goes around shouting about how everything is futile
  • butterbur – runs the best coffee shop on campus
  • gandalf – the president/dean. incredible. has been known to hang out in merry and pippin’s smoky commune.
  • saruman – gandalf’s rude ex
  • galadriel – hospitality management prof. gifts for everyone! food! gifts! wine! gifts! dirt.
  • faramir – boromir’s failure of a younger brother. actually maintaining a 4.0 and honors. saw eowyn shout at someone and fell in love with her.
  • tom bombadil – nobody fucking knows.
  • treebeard – teaches environmental science. hooms a lot.
  • eomer – the fratboyest fratboy of all fratboys
  • celeborn – always trying to schedule a meeting with gandalf. never succeeds.
  • gollum – it is said that he was once an english major like us. but life has been cruel to him.
  • shelob – in the dark passes of the engineering building lurks a terrible shadow
  • bill the pony – sam’s dog

meeedeee answered: I think the “ask if you wnat removed” or opt out method is agood way to go. It is the protocol that the Internet Archive and the Library of Congress use. Note: some fans might not agree that you have no right “reblog outside of tumblr.

The other option is to run the posts through the Internet Archive so there is a permanent backup and link to them there: http://searchengineland.com/save-urls-wayback-machine-demand-191150

Oh my gosh! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! This is pretty much exactly the kind of answer I was hoping to get. :’D

I know some of my followers said they were also interested in making personal backups of their tumblr RPs? I know it’s a goddamn overwhelming project to do by hand, especially now that some of the xkit functions that would have made that slightly easier are now broken… BUT!!!! That Wayback Machine seems like it’ll be the quickest and easiest way to backup of your stuff in case tumblr goes tits up. 🙂

Serious Question about Archiving

It always amuses me that Sauron basically had Gandalf in his dungeon and later had Galadriel siege his keep (in both the books and the movies) and yet, in Lord of The Rings he’s like
