Bat-faced Thuringwethil BEST Thuringwethil! MOAR NOSE. I am also enamored of Luthien’s milkshake. (Must say – the wings do look a bit funny to me? Maybe make them just plain wings, but then with extra ‘fingers’ that serve as fingers+thumb? I don’t know?)

Yeah, I hear you, they do look pretty awkward; like, I kinda just tacked them on as a placeholder, and now they’re genuinely bugging me. ¬n¬

I really need to do a proper anatomical study and figure out how she’s put together before I draw her again. :’O BAT BABBY MUST BE PERFECT

Silm Prompt: Luthien and Thuringwethil– RivkaZ 2016

I haven’t totally solidified my vision of Thur, but I’m happy to have an excuse to draw Luthien again!
This was going to be, shall we say, shippier, but seeing as I haven’t worked out all the bugs in the character designs yet (how do the wings ATTACH, GODDAMNIT), I figured I’d leave it here for now. Thuringwethil looks suitably enamored of Luthien’s milkshake, so that’s good. (Thanks to @askrossiel for the sapphic foeyay prompt! )

Silm Prompt: Lorgan, of the Easterlings under Morgoth–RivkaZ 2016

We don’t know much about Lorgan, but I envision a savvy, pragmatic leader, trying to make the best decision for his people, which in this case meant siding with Angband in in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad. In exchange for his people’s services, he was “rewarded” with the lands of Dor Lomin, which kind of sucked, and all the stragglers left in it as vassals and slaves. He was in charge of parceling them out to his clan, which lead to Brodda occupying the lands where Morwen, Turin, Nienor, etc lived. He’s not a figure that will be remembered well by history; he did not cover himself in glory by siding with Morgoth and enslaving his fellow men, but keeping people alive in the First Age is a tough job, and he bet on the team that won (for a while), rather than the team that died honorably. All in all, probably an interesting dude. (Thanks to @crocordile for the request and for informing me of Lorgan’s existence!)
