Ossë glared. A petulant, flustered glare. (Which was really his normal glare around Sauron.) His fins flared out in indignation. “You need to know that I am only doing this because the blasted, Eru-forsaken greycloaks are /forcing/ me to, and not because I want to do this in any way,” he prefaced, tone clipped and sharp. He stepped closer. His gaze flickered over his cousin’s face, hunting. Then he squinted his eyes shut and headbutted forward to mash their mouths together awkwardly.

There was no winning this one. A kiss to the hand was seen as a pledge of loyalty, and that wouldn’t do. A kiss to a cheek was friendship, to the brow was affectionate. Anywhere else was bound to be sexual. And the lips… 

There was no way he could spin this in his favor. Damn them all, Sauron would be delighted.

Lava flows like these Hawaii’an ones are endlessly mesmerizing. This type of flow is gravity-driven; rather than being pushed by explosive pressure, the lava flows under its own weight and that of the lava upstream. In fact, fluid dynamicists refer to this kind of flow as a gravity current, a term also applied to avalanches, turbidity currents, and cold drafts that sneak under your door in the wintertime. How quickly these viscous flows spread depends on factors like the density and viscosity of the lava and on the volume of lava being released at the vent. As the lava cools, its viscosity increases rapidly, and an outer crust can solidify while molten lava continues to flow beneath. How the hell did Saruman delve deep into ring lore? The elves can’t be bothered to write anything down, Sauron certainly didn’t publish a manual. How did he know any more about rings than anyone else? 

I’m imagining him watching lots of crackpot YouTube videos with titles like “The REAL secrets Celebrimbor DOESN’T WANT YOU TO KNOW!!!” Remember, he got deep into ring lore, but it’s not like he actually succeeded in making any particularly powerful rings.

I was wondering if you perchance role play with original characters, I’ve looked through your guidelines and I’m also not sure if you’re accepting any.

I do! I’m selective about the characters I play with but I’m willing to give most people a shot. 🙂 Some of my favorite threads of all time are with OCs.
