Following up on the whole “PATREON????” mini-poll I posted last week, I’ve come to the following conclusions: 

A) You guys are saints
B) Seriously how are you so supportive and generous I love you
C) I still probably won’t be able to make enough initial money on Patreon to totally quit commissions, BUT THIS IS OKAY BECAUSE–
D) I will probably have a real job this winter that will help pay the bills, AND–
E) Enough of you were interested and willing to invest a little bit that I can at least get started and try and build an audience as I go. 

That’s honestly more than enough work with; even just knowing that people were interested enough to signal boost or pledge a dollar a month is incredibly invigorating, and gives me confidence. I mean, I haven’t produced any comics on schedule yet– it was a long shot to think I could make enough to quit commissions before I even have a product to show; it’s amazing that I can get this kind of support as it is. The fact that I have this much gives me hope that once production starts, I will actually be able to turn my pet project into something more rewarding. That is really cool, my Tolkien friends. 

This October is going to be frantically busy filling orders for the BF’s Etsy shop, tying up loose ends with my medical and financial situation, finding a new roommate, finishing commissions, getting a job, getting spooky, and other such madness-inducing stress. SOMEWHERE IN THAT MESS I will be plotting a course forward for the following month, getting my materials together, and otherwise preparing to get this show on the road.
