OBVIOUSLY there were trendsetters!  I didn’t get where I am today by being boring, tame, and unpopular. 

And of course there were critics. Fame is not without cost! I can’t help it my siblings were jealous of my good ideas, and fortune with attractive maiar.

23) What’s your take on AUs?

Generally favorable. Anything that allows further exploration of a character or scenario is great, and sometimes they’re just wacky fun. 

11) Do you think you’ve gotten better at writing anything or any type of thing or situation since you started writing this character (or roleplaying in general)? 

Heck yes! I mean for one thing I’ve gotten better at writing my muses (you can’t write someone consistently for over a year and NOT get better at it, imho) Secondly I think I’ve gotten much, much more succinct in my writing. (….I hear your silent laughter across the internet, but trust me, the word vomit was SO MUCH WORSE BEFORE NOW).

18) What’s your favorite thing about rping an original character?

Aw jeepers I actually haven’t played on OC on tumblr yet? But when I do RP an OC I enjoy being able to build a character from the ground up… And at the same time I hate having to build a character from the ground up. XD I like having the freedom of being able to do anything with them, and knowing that they are sprung fully from my mind… but I also hate constantly second-guessing myself over whether or not I’m using too many tropes or if they’re consistent enough or realistic enough or too similar to some other character…. *sob*   Getting other people excited about your OCs is definitely like the best feeling in the world though, ngl. 

What’s a trope or plot you love but you’ve never gotten to roleplay or never gotten to roleplay in completion?

annnsweered but I guess the second half of this is that I don’t think I’ve ever gotten to do as much with Second Age Sauron in Numenor as I’d like to…   *___* so much power imbalance and manipulation from start to finish. ❤ ❤ ❤

3) What’s something you like about how you write?

AAAAAAAH um uh okay ah-
I LOVE writing dialogue! And I love just… being in character? Doesn’t matter what character, I really enjoy giving voice to different people as distinctively and memorably as I can. And I like reading those parts of my writing again the most too, so I’m gonna say yeah, Dialogue. :3

54) What’s a trope or plot you love, but you’ve never gotten to roleplay or never gotten to roleplay in completion? 

I like a lot of fairly shameful plot tropes. XD Anything that facilitates good character writing and tension is a plus for me. Things that put the character under duress or force them to interact in ways that aren’t typical are always fun… hostage scenarios, political manipulation, FIGHT SCENES. *__*

I really, really enjoy putting characters in situations where they have to be -clever- to get themselves out of trouble (and sometimes failing to get themselves out of trouble *cough*); or straight up Hannibal-Lectering their way into power from behind bars. And on the opposite end, I like playing the character with all the control, and using their power selectively to get what they want.  UwU

 The way to get rid of trolls is to Not Feed Them. It’s like… you can’t NOT shoot them down because they’re so ridiculous and so obviously in poor taste, and really offensive to artists in particular, but I feel like maybe we’re just giving them the attention they want?  

I MEAN I DID DRAW THE THING, TECHNICALLY, SORT OF?? I tried not to spend a lot of time on it but still— any kind of effort we spend on a troll is more effort than the troll probably deserves. That’s how trolls do. 

Yeah I thought about not feeding the troll but at the same time I don’t really think this is a troll but rather a genuinely rude anon.  Idk, asking for art on a particular subject just doesn’t sound like something trolls usually do.  Plus, this all feels eerily similar to that other person a few months back who was going around asking other artists to support their cause in petitioning Phobs to return to her older design.

But if you don’t want to be added to the list it’s all cool, no biggie. ^^

Actually yeah. You know what? Fuck ‘em. Compile that list of Anon-Shaming. XD I’ll hang my hat there with the folks who are letting it be known that this is in no way an appropriate venue or method of “appreciating” an artist’s work. 

I feel really ignorant but what is going on with Sauron art?

Oh, there’s just an anon/group of bloggers going around, putting the same copypasta requests in a BUNCH of different artists’ mailboxes. It’s always something to do with drawing this *very specific Phobs Sauron*; and there was a blog that popped up a while ago that was reposting all of Phobs’s early drawings of Sauron, claiming that it was the ONLY ONE TRUE SAURON THAT WAS CORRECT AND BEST FOREVER, and was asking people to petition Phobs herself to “go back to drawing Sauron the way she drew him in 2013”.  Like…????????  

Phobs’s Sauron hasn’t changed that much, it’s just that she’s sort of moved his character design in a more serious direction and was trying out new looks for him (i.e. Silver hair, meaner looking face, less dainty, etc.).

It’s just a bunch of fanatic weirdos who think that Phobs is beholden to her audience to draw exclusively what they can fap to. e___e  And then they decided to make it their business to get EVERYONE to make exclusively what they can fap to, for free, with no feedback or previous interaction. 

So um, my character and your Sauron have never interacted before but I think they would be really pretty together and I was just wondering if it would be okay if I wrote a pwp involving them?

:’D I would love to say yes, but it’s really hard to approve or disapprove of anything if I don’t know the character and you’re on anon?  In general I’m pretty open to anything involving bara-saurons and PWP? I mean, I’m not owner of Sauron as a concept, so in that sense you absolutely don’t need my permission to write whatever you want about him, but if you are specifically wanting to use my headcanons and character design, I’d be happy to hear your ideas? :3
