Characters I Liked So Much More Than I Thought I Would In The Books Vs. The Movies:  Legolas, Gimli, Saruman, Arwen, Treebeard, Faramir, Gloín, Every Single Pony, All the Hobbits, All The Elves, All The Dwarves, Tom Bombadil and Goldberry, Misbehaving Trees, Denethor

Characters I Liked A Lot Less In The Books Than I Did In The Films, Actually: Gandalf, Aragorn, Boromir, Theoden, Every Royal Character, JFC Piss Off You Bastards, (Strider can stay I guess.) No seriously I feel like the films went out of their way to humanize y’all in a way that made you relatable and likable, and Wow Tolkien, Glowing Prettiness Is No Basis For A System Of Government
