Rían has a very good memory for music. She can still sing songs she remembers from Dorthonion, even after Morwen has forgotten all but a few (mostly she remembers the lullabies that she sang to Rían a lot when she was younger). When Túrin is born, Morwen realizes she can’t completely remember one of her favorite old songs, so Rían teaches it to her again. She picks up new music quickly by ear, and sings to herself without even noticing while she’s working.
