Another Sauron in a friendly and not at all terrifying form, offering a definatly not cursed ring.
A whole fellowship to be done, starting with a little treat for our elf eyes 😉
Happy weekend!
Greek Gold Bracelet with Agate Goat Terminals, 5th Cen. BC
A rock crystal ball talisman mounted as a pendant in silver and decorated with stylised roses at each end. The sling mount is early seventeenth century and is decorated with punching in the form lozenges and pellets. Abrasions to the ball suggest that it might be considerably earlier then the silver work. It is contained within a fitted wooden case lined with velvet and covered in shagreen. English?, c.1620. Photographs: Author.
I started painting Maedhros and Maglor last night, inspired by the last kin slaying and the last attempt the two of them did together to get the Silmaril. That part really disappointed me, as I always saw the two of them as being better than their brothers and father, and I always forget about that last battle they initiate, so I felt compelled to draw them how I see them in that scene, most likely from the view of Elrond and Elros.
Still unfinished, but I hope to finish it soon, as it’s not the biggest drawing I’ve made in a while! 😊 let me know what you think! 😘

He was tall, wearing white with a gold belt and a crown of garnets, holding the Staff of Doom in his hand. At his side was Glamdring, the Foe-hammer.
A silver penannular brooch from Ardrahan, Co. Galway. It dates from the 9th/10th century AD
I’m calling this donezo for now. The grayscale has been done since yesterday, but I feel like if I keep messing with the color, I’ll screw it up beyond repair. I’ll probably go back and fix things as I feel like it (because I’m never satisfied lol). My first time coloring over grayscale, so be kind 🙂
I kind of headcanon his hair to be bloodstained or dyed…maybe?
“…A hunter was Celegorm, who in Valinor was a friend of Oromë and often followed the Vala’s horn. Celegorm went rather to the house of Oromë, and there he got great knowledge of birds and beasts, and all their tongues he knew.” (J.R.R. Tolkien, The Silmarillion, Of Eldamar and the Princes of the Eldalie)
