This Bubbling ferrofluidLight Works like a Magnetized Lava Lamp
For a brief period in the 90s, easy access to designer drugs and the ubiquity of Spencer Gifts resulted in many of us purchasing lava lamps.
After a few hours of watching melted balls of wax float around, the
drugs wore off and we regretted ever buying the stupid things. But
thanks to ferrofluid, the atomic age novelty may have a new lease on
life.Inventor Kyle Haines believes that the strongly magnetized liquids
known as ferrofluids can revive the lava lamp in the 21st century in a
device he calls The Inspiration. Much like a traditional wax lava lamp,
the blobs of ferrofluid in The Inspiration float up and down in response
to heat from an incandescent light bulb. The difference comes in the
magnetic properties of the ferrofluid. In the presence of neodymium
magnets, the ferrofluid reacts and forms spiky shapes that zip around

more costume design doodles! now onto dwarwen style: main inspirations are Cirassian peoples’ clothing/assesories (mainly Georgian, Abazin & Armenian) & also i think abt female identifying dwarves most time that’s why they get all the nice things 😀
+ a random piece of hadcanon abt jewelry: being monogamous by nature, dwarves pierce their ears only once (or not at all) in their lives & one an easily pinpoint a dwarf’s marriage status by their earrings. no matter if the pair wealthy or skilled in jewelry making, it’s the important part of the wedding ritual to make the earrings themselves, working together blah blah w/e i think it’d be cute

I’ve only drawn the two of them once before and I wasn’t totally happy with either of them. The only thing I really kept from my first try is Melian’s white eyelashes – they are my lifeblood, ugh, I love them. Her hair is an homage to scorpionhoney and luaen although they draw that beautiful Melian bouffant way better
unbearably gorgeous! *o* I love Melian’s little Heian-period eyebrows!

終わざりし物語を読んだ後に描き始めたんですが、ガラドリエルの衣装でストップ放置で未完のままボツに。
長い旅の間、ガラや他の女性達がどういう格好をしていたのか全く想像出来ないんですよね。
動き易いズボン、もしくはその他？やっぱりドレス？ヘルカラクセもドレス？結構着替え持ってきた？等々考えて結局分からん！で終わるという。
映画観るとドレスと裸足でどこにでも行きそうだけどなぁ。
