But I’m pretty happy with them so far I’m just gonna post how they look right now~ 

Gondolin lords: Galdor, Rog, Salgant, Maeglin (w/ his ‘I’m gonna fuckin kill you Tuor’ face), Turgon, Eärendil…his hair is so wild here and I fockin love it (T^T)/ ❤

Angband Rough Model V2 —RivkaZ 2015

Okay, so my first model was looking a bit bland and symmetrical for Melkor’s tastes, and too sparse in defenses for Sauron’s. XD

From the front we have a draw bridge defended by two sealable mountain tunnels, a lava moat, three struts for archers and ballistae to defend the pass, spouts for pouring molten lead or hot oil, and plenty of spooky statues and gargoyles.

Up one side of the left peak of Thangorodrim, we have the dragon nursery, which extends inside the mountain. 

Around the back of the third peak, we have the main secret back exit. 

And of course, the central fortress spire is where Hurin’s Chair is located, with a nice view of both the dragon hatchery and the front gate. 

Of course, this is just the tip of the Angband Iceberg, as most of the fortress is actually underground. There we’d have the forges, the orc quarters, the extensive thrall pits, the mines, the storehouses, the mushroom farms, the five-star thermal hot springs and lava baths, and finally, the throne room for the Mighty Arising.

Bonus round: Maedhros’s shackle! 🙂

Melkor Transformations Attempts — RivkaZ 2014

I draw many ridiculous and fluffy Melkors and the reason for this is because my artistic abilities are not up to the task of drawing him as fluid and horrifying as he sometimes appears in my head. But today I bit the bullet and at least TRIED to draw the thing where he makes you really regret not telling him where Gondolin is.

Sorry! I took it down because I was feeling very self-conscious about the anatomy and since it was only meant to be a reference picture I figured it wouldn’t be missed. I WAS WRONG. You caught me! Have the colorful naked Ainur back ❤

I don’t know why drawing characters standing comfortably in space is so difficult for me. X_X Something I obviously need to work on. Also proportions. 

ANYWAY. have some random Spring of Arda character referencey things.

(At the very least I like how Melkor’s coloring came out, even though I forgot the spiky bits on his legs.)
