I tried an old Greek-ish dress on Melian to distinguish her from your average Doriath elf. Not sure whether that‘s a good idea or not. She should meet Thingol in the woods either wearing nothing or wearing nothing but a blanket.

The dark plague hits Gondor by AncaXBre
The dark plague was a disastrous pestilence that hit Middle Earth in the third age and killed untold numbers of people, possibly up into the hundreds of thousands. Among its victims were king Telemar and all his kin, as well as the white tree of Gondor. And the most devastating consequence was the abandoning of the watch over Mordor. Historians believed that the Plague was caused by Sauron since the Shadow deepened in Mirkwood, foretelling his return in the (now unguarded) Mordor.
