Ringwraith (Nazgûl) Sword

  • Measurements: overall length 55 inches

This prop Ringwraith sword was created by the Weta Workshop armoury during the production of “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy (New Line Cinema, 2001, 2002, 2003).

The sword has a lightweight aluminum blade specifically for stunt use and riding sequences and shows visible signs of wear from on-set combat. The urethane hilt was cast from molds taken from the original hero prop, and the sword was carefully hand-painted and extensively weathered.

This prop was part of a collection of authentic production-created movie props procured by official New Line Cinema licensee, United Cutlery directly from Weta Workshop and Three Foot Six Productions between 1999-2004 for reference in producing a collectible replica version for fans of the film franchise.

Joel and the crew deal. It is the ancient past or perhaps the medieval era or maybe 17th century Bulgaria or 19th century Japan. Ator is a legendary swordsman / body builder / scholar / scientist / healer / warrior whose trademarks include a well-developed fat-free physique, little pants, a resplendent mane of freshly-shampooed locks complete with adorable Samurai top-knot, leather accessories, a pointy little visor and the ability to fight – poorly – with two swords at once.

On the birth of Ancalagon

redsixwing:

You will be unlike anything the world has seen. You will know my name.

You will be a new thing, born to fly, born to fire. You will be a shadow such as the skies have never seen. The pale starlight will shatter on your back, and in your eyes and the hollow of your throat, fire will kindle and live, wild and constrained as the fire beneath the earth. You may unloose it where you wish, my child, for the heat will send you spinning higher into the sky, and you will find the embers and the sound of flame beautiful.

You will be a soaring nightmare, and that will give you certain limitations: your bones blown-glass, your scales flakes of obsidian. You will fly on the breath of volcanoes and ride upon the back of the morning thermal, but you will be unable to rise on your own.
Your legs, alas, must be short; you will struggle, upon the ground, but my child, you will be a terror of the skies.

Some day I will leave this place, and I will forge you of stone and air and fire, all the tools of those who imprisoned me. They will never bind you.

I will never bind you.

You will be unlike anything the world has seen.

You will know my name.

misbehavingmaiar (I think?) posted a thing the other day that was awesome, and then someone left a prompt for me that resulted in this.

I take no credit for the idea of Ancalagon as basically a tremendous azhdarchid, but I’ve had a lot of fun with it.

||I could talk about your fantastic art skills, but those are obvious, so instead I’ll mention the sense of whimsy, which is one of my favourite parts. You whip up response sketches and the like that capture awesome amounts of humour, and I love it.

HONESTLY THAT IS ALL YOU GUYS– XD Stop being so clever and hilarious and I’ll stop drawing dark lord butt sketches in response

about your art style, i think the most distinctive thing is how free you seem to be? your art is very expressive and you don’t seem afraid to take on challenges or just, you know, be very sincere through it, which is why your art (IMO) stands out and really grabs the attention. I love your colors in particular, and your experiments with body shapes and aging :) I feel like I learn a lot from you.

J U L I A N A  U  CANNOT PRAISE ME LIKE THIS, I WILL FAINT ;A; because I really look up to you as an artist and your figure drawing is an endless source of inspiration and envy to meeeeeee~

wait BUT IF YOU’RE LEARNING FROM  ME AND I’M LEARNING FROM YOU, WHO IS FLYING THE PLANE???

The first thing in your art style that catched my attention was how detailed it is, even more the colored drawings. And that’s the second thing, the way you colour. I love your shading (and yes, art envy! Because you know exactly where to put the light and that’s hard as heck). And then there is your sass (it definitely shows in your art!)

DOES MY SASS LOOK BIG IN THIS? X’D

jk jk let me hug you art sempai ❤ ;A; ❤ ❤ ❤ WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, ART ENVY??? HAVE YOU SEEN YOUR ART????

Personally, it’s the character of the art that speaks to me – the way you convey attitude and personality through your art. I can imagine movement, life, emotion in your characters – it’s sublime!

WELL that’ll be the first time in my life anyone’s referred to me as “sublime”! You’re a dish full of minty biscuits and I love you. *mwah!*

Movement and character acting are, in all seriousness, two the things i try hardest to achieve. UwU Very pleased that that’s something you like about my draws~

|| Diverse characters, man. The faces, I do see that you try to give each of them their characteristics. Also your trait is quite unique, don’t know exactly why but I can tell when the art is yours even before I see the url. It must be something in the lines and/or the general influence of your aesthetics.

My dashboard presence bears a unique and unmistakable stamp~ but what could it be????

(markedasinfernal) About your art style: dROWNS IN THE COLOURS AAAAAAHHH THEY’RE SO BEAUTIFUL THEY HURT A LITTLE BIT! Also, amazing, varied and original character designs that are really, really refreshing! Overall 11/10 just wow. <3

WAGLBAGLFLAGL a;sdljfks;

Hmmmm. I love your concepts, especially your Aulë design – but I am soooooooo jealous of your way with colours!!! I know how bloody difficult it is to shade while still keeping the colours vibrant, and trust me peeps, it’s a hell of a lot harder than you’d think! …If you’re ever really bored, could you make a kind of tutorial or something (you’d have a friend for life here, promise!)? I’m always on the lookout for tips on improving my own not-so-mad skillz. Regardless: Plz to draw moar :D

You like my Aulë? :’D  !!! THNK U FRIEND

I actually wouldn’t mind doing a tutorial! :3 Is there anything in particular you’d like to see as a step-by-step?

Probably the most noticeable thing about your art, in my humble opinion at least, is how very powerful at is – like a raging volcano ready to erupt – while at the same time as fluid and stable as the waters of an ancient river. Every brush stroke has a definite reason for being there, showing how much control you have over your craft, which also shows in how very diverse your works seem to be. I take down my hat to you.

When sempai calls your work an ancient river

When sempai’s art is hella fresh and crisp and looks like it came from a major animation studio and they do a hat thing at u
