I think the actual chronology of the name goes something like:  
Angbandstyle makes a joke about “Angband” sounding like… something else –> me internalizing their excellent first class humor –> me taking vote in fandom to name the preexisting ship and coining “angbang” as an option –> the ship is christened, the bottle breaks upon the bow, and sails into the sunset. 

SO IN A ROUNDABOUT AND CONVOLUTED WAY, KINDA, yeah. Yeah. Let that be my crowning accomplishment in life. ∠(  ✧︿✧)ᕗ
